1. Our Mission
Rehab Connect USA is an independent online directory that connects people and families to substance use disorder treatment facilities across the United States. Every facility listed in our directory is drawn from SAMHSA-verified federal treatment data. We are not a treatment provider, not a medical practice, and not a referral service that receives compensation for sending a person to any specific facility. Our purpose is to make it easier for someone searching for help to find a legitimate, licensed treatment option near them.
2. How We Source Information
Facility listings on Rehab Connect USA originate from the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) FindTreatment.gov dataset. SAMHSA is the federal agency responsible for the nationwide behavioral health treatment locator, and facilities included in that dataset have self-reported to SAMHSA and met the agency's inclusion criteria for the National Directory of Drug and Alcohol Abuse Treatment Facilities.
We ingest SAMHSA's data through the public FindTreatment.gov API and normalize it into structured categories: treatment type, level of care, payment options, accepted insurance, populations served, and special services. Facility identifiers, addresses, phone numbers, and service codes come from SAMHSA.
We are not affiliated with SAMHSA or any government agency. Rehab Connect USA is a privately operated website, and inclusion of a facility in our directory does not constitute a federal endorsement.
3. Data Accuracy & Updates
We refresh facility data from SAMHSA on a regular cadence, typically weekly, with full re-pulls and deduplication performed as SAMHSA publishes updates to its underlying dataset. Because SAMHSA listings are self-reported by facilities, details such as current bed availability, insurance acceptance, intake hours, and program offerings can change at any time without notice to SAMHSA or to us.
For this reason, we strongly encourage every visitor to call the facility directly before making travel, financial, or treatment decisions. A facility's phone number on our listing is the best way to confirm current intake status.
If you see information on our site that appears to be inaccurate, outdated, or misrepresentative, we want to know. Email contact@rehabconnectusa.com with the facility name and city, the specific field you believe is incorrect, and any supporting information. We review every report and, where warranted, issue a correction and flag the issue back to SAMHSA's data team.
4. Medical Content Review Process
Blog content and educational articles published on Rehab Connect USA are written to help readers understand treatment options, insurance coverage, detox processes, and recovery concepts. This content is intended for general informational purposes only — it is not medical advice and is not a substitute for consultation with a licensed clinician.
Our editorial process for blog content:
- Every article is drafted against a defined factual outline before writing begins.
- Clinical claims, statistics, and medication guidance must cite an authoritative source.
- We cite from SAMHSA (including the National Survey on Drug Use and Health), the National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA), the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism (NIAAA), and peer-reviewed clinical journals indexed in PubMed.
- We do not cite user-generated content, commercial rehab marketing material, or unsourced blog aggregators as primary sources.
- Every article displays an author byline ("Rehab Connect USA Editorial Team"), a published date, and an updated date. Articles are re-reviewed when the underlying federal guidance or dataset changes.
- Every article carries a SAMHSA disclaimer footer reminding readers that the content is educational and not a clinical consultation.
If a reader identifies a factual error in an article, we will investigate it against our primary sources and, if confirmed, correct the article and note the correction.
5. Advertising Policy
Rehab Connect USA operates a flat-fee advertising model. If and when paid placements, sponsored listings, or featured facility profiles are introduced, the relationship will be governed by the following rules:
- No per-referral compensation. We do not accept, and will not accept, payment tied to a specific admission, a specific phone call, a specific lead, or any other per-patient volume metric. All commercial relationships are flat advertising fees, independent of whether any visitor ever contacts the facility.
- Florida Statute 817.505 compliance. Florida's Patient Brokering Act prohibits the payment of any commission, benefit, bonus, rebate, kickback, or bribe in exchange for patient referrals. Our flat-fee advertising model is structured to comply with Florida Statute 817.505 and the analogous federal Eliminating Kickbacks in Recovery Act (EKRA, 18 U.S.C. § 220).
- Clear disclosure. Any sponsored listing, featured facility, or paid placement will be clearly labeled as such on the page where it appears. Visitors will always be able to tell the difference between a paid placement and the organic SAMHSA-sourced directory listings that make up the bulk of our site.
- No guaranteed outcomes. We do not promise advertisers traffic volumes, rankings above organic results, or admissions. Advertising pays for placement and disclosure, not for patient outcomes.
6. Corrections Policy
When we are notified of a factual error — in a facility listing, an article, a statistic, or a statement of policy — we follow this process:
- Acknowledge receipt of the correction request within 5 business days.
- Verify the reported issue against SAMHSA's dataset, our primary medical sources, or the facility directly, as appropriate.
- Correct confirmed errors within 10 business days of verification.
- For material corrections to published articles, add a visible correction note at the top or bottom of the article stating what was changed and when.
Corrections can be requested at contact@rehabconnectusa.com.
7. What We Are Not
Rehab Connect USA is not a treatment provider, not a medical practice, not a licensed clinician, and not an emergency service. Nothing on this website constitutes medical advice, diagnosis, or a treatment recommendation for any specific individual. We do not accept patients, admit patients, or deliver clinical care.
If you are in crisis or thinking about suicide or self-harm, call or text 988 (Suicide and Crisis Lifeline) right now. 988 is free, confidential, and available 24/7.

8. Editorial Independence
The editorial content on Rehab Connect USA — our blog articles, state guides, treatment explainers, and informational pages — is produced separately from any advertising relationship. Editorial decisions about what to cover, how to cover it, and which sources to cite are not influenced by advertisers, and no advertiser has the ability to purchase favorable editorial coverage or to block unfavorable coverage. If and when sponsored placements are introduced, they will be separated from editorial content by design: labeled, contained to designated advertising slots, and never presented as if they were editorial recommendations.
9. Contact for Concerns
Questions, corrections, complaints, advertising inquiries, and general feedback can be directed to contact@rehabconnectusa.com. We read every message.
